Privacy policy

ARUK Training Ltd ("ARUK", "we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 11718190). Our registered office is 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

For anything about your data, email [email protected] or call +44 7462 102778.

When you send an enquiry, request a quotation or ask about in-house, meeting-room or 1-to-1 training, we collect what you type into the form: your name, work email, phone number, organisation, number of participants, preferred course language, your message, and the course, date and city you asked about.

If you email, phone or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that correspondence and the contact details it contains.

When a booking goes ahead, we also hold the delegates' names and the details needed to run the course, issue certificates of attendance and invoice your organisation.

To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quotation or course outline, and arrange and deliver the training you book.

To issue certificates of attendance and invoices, and to keep the business and tax records the law requires.

We do not sell your data, and we will not add you to a marketing list unless you ask us to.

We use enquiry details to take steps you ask for before a contract (a quotation or booking) and, for business contacts, because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our training. Booking and invoicing data is used to perform our contract with you or your organisation, and some records are kept because the law requires it.

Only the people and services needed to run the courses: the trainer and venue for your course, our website host (Cloudflare), Web3Forms (which delivers website form messages to our inbox), our email provider, Google (Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies), Cloudflare Workers AI (which writes the chat assistant’s answers) and Telegram (which delivers chat messages and visit alerts to our team’s phone). They may only use the data to provide their service to us.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law allows, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

Enquiries that do not lead to a booking are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted. Booking, certificate and invoice records are kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK accounting and tax rules require.

We do not use advertising cookies. With your consent we use Google Analytics (GA4) cookies (_ga and _ga_*, kept for up to 2 years) to count visits and see which pages are useful. If you press Decline, or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your mind at any time by clicking Cookies in the footer, which reopens the choice; declining also removes the analytics cookies.

With the same consent, the site also counts visits anonymously: your browser keeps a random visit number for one day (in local storage, not a cookie), and each page view sends that number, the page you are on and the page that linked to it. Cloudflare adds the approximate country and city, worked out from your connection; we do not store your IP address. Our team uses this to see which courses are being looked at and may get a short alert that someone is on the site. These records are deleted after 90 days.

The chat window on our pages is answered first by an automated assistant (Cloudflare Workers AI). It only uses our published course list and booking terms, and it may make mistakes, so please check dates and fees on the course page or with us before you book. The assistant cannot make bookings or promise prices.

What you type in the chat is stored with the page you started it on and your approximate country, and sent to our team on Telegram so a person can read it and reply. If you press "Talk to a person", a member of our team answers in the same window. Please do not type sensitive information; if you want us to contact you, include your name and email or phone, and we will use them only to answer you.

Chat messages are deleted after 30 days, unless they become an enquiry or booking, which we then keep as described above. The chat opens only when you use it and does not set cookies; it keeps a random chat number in your browser tab so the conversation continues from page to page.

Some pages show photos and short videos taken at our courses. If you appear in one and would like it removed, email [email protected] and we will take it down.

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would appreciate the chance to sort it out with you first.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
